Individual Mission Training
NORTHERN RED'S IMT COURSE ENABLES YOU TO BUILD THE SOLID TACTICAL SKILLS FOUNDATION YOU WILL NEED TO THRIVE AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR AS A MEMBER OF A TEAM.
This course is meant for anyone seeking understanding of the fundamental truth in tactics: all tactical situations demand capable individuals whether they respond as members of a uniformed services tactical team, a first-arriving patrol unit at a crisis site, or as individuals required to act alone to protect themselves and loved ones.
The objective of this course is to enable students to perform decisively and responsibly in any tactical situation when facing an armed and willing enemy.
Northern Red’s IMT Course uses airsoft equipment as a vehicle for training and feedback. Training begins with a diagnostic assessment to establish an individual baseline of skills and willingness. The course progresses to developing fundamental individual-level tactical skills using the context of interior fighting tactics. These tactics center on tactically-sound actions on entry into a room, and include rapid decision-making, manipulation of doors, and moving through multiple rooms.
The course progressively escalates complexity. Students should expect to test their limits in target discrimination, marksmanship, and risk mitigation, all while retaining full responsibility of outcomes.
IMT serves as a foundation of individual tactical skills that will enable students to rapidly integrate team-level skill development through subsequent attendance at Northern Red’s Tactical Team Foundations training course and Close Quarters Battle training course.
Students pursuing further individual skills development should consider attending Northern Red’s Pistol Marksmanship Fundamentals course or Carbine Marksmanship Fundamentals.
