Law enforcement units require a decentralized, agile response that is coordinated strategically over a potentially large geographic area.

Northern Red’s Team Leader Course is designed to create empowered and capable TLs, which encourages decentralization, provides increased agility, lethality, and survivability to the responding units. As a result, these Team Leaders will act as a conduit of information and orders from strategic level commanders to the officer on the ground that will carry them out. The ability to delegate authority frees up Commanders to coordinate responses and assets. Team leaders who complete this course will be able to provide the tactical level guidance to responding officers required to bring a critical incident to a favorable close. 

Planning under pressure is the cornerstone of any professional CT rapid response force. Crisis planning, on the move, with little intel or direction from above is a requirement. Clear concise reporting allows for a more rapid and accurate response, and paints a better picture for leaders at the command/strategic level. Contingency planning is what sets the SOF community apart from everyone else. The ability to predict potential problems/hazards and mitigate them in planning provides an immense increase in unit capability. 

This course is optimized for SWAT Team Leaders but will be beneficial for both SWAT Commander’s and SWAT team members as well. The course will begin with a leadership diagnostic and CQB refresher, then progress to planning TTPs, both deliberate and time sensitive in nature. From this point students will be placed in leadership positions and afforded the opportunity to plan, lead, and execute complex assaults on a determined enemy location.
