NORTHERN RED'S GUNFIGHTER PISTOL/CARBINE COURSE IS FOCUSED ON MAKING THE END USER MORE CAPABLE AND COMPETENT WITH THEIR CHOSEN OR ASSIGNED WEAPONS.
Drawing on decades of combined experience, and the expertise of our Special Operations Instructor Cadre, this course is designed to maximize student potential and teach students how to effectively utilize and understand these weapons. Northern Red’s logically developed training methodology emphasizes safety, efficiency, and the development of the skills relevant to today’s battlefields and operational areas.This course teaches the weapons handling skills needed in a hostile environment while emphasizing safety, awareness, and surgical marksmanship with both the combat pistol and carbine. Operators will quickly gain experience, confidence, and the competence required to operate effectively as an individual, and as a member of a tactical team with their assigned weapons.
COURSE CONTENT:
Diagnostic evaluation with both weapons
Sights, zeroing considerations and techniques
External ballistics
Individual kit and its set-up to include load out theories, weapon set-up, and gear placement
Fundamentals of pistol/carbine marksmanship
Reloads and malfunctions
The draw
Shooting positions
Surgical marksmanship
Multiple target engagements
Transitions
Shooting on the move
Mounting weapon lights
Target discrimination
Target acquisition and engagement using white lights
Shooting positions
Situational awareness
